HumaniVR is an interdisciplinary research project at the University of Hildesheim that explores and develops methods for the analysis of linguistic, social and intercultural interaction in Social Virtual Reality.

It is funded by the Ministry of Science and Culture in Lower Saxony (Niedersächsisches Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kultur) as part of the PRO*Niedersachsen program (2021-2023).

Its full title is “The Humanities in Virtual Reality – Methodenentwicklung und Anwendungspotenziale der Virtual Reality für die Geisteswissenschaften“.
